Haulout 02

Tuesday, July 04, 2006

Cutless bearing and removal. (slit with sawzall, then twisted out with a pipe wrench).

The wind generator, fully functional with alumimum blades and amperage and voltage meters mounted near the engine gage panel.

General Pics of the vessel, very mild abrasions that didn't even penetrage the epoxy barrier coat.

Beginning to glass up the repairs. I used MAS epoxy, 45 degree Biax, and 1.5oz CSM (chopped strand mat).

After grinding and fairing repairs.

Painting with Ameron 5400 epoxy barrier coat.

Sanding the topside to prepare for primer.

Touching up bottom paint to get by until I have the time and money to haul out again and do a copperpoxy antifouling job.

Painting Primer. Used Alwgrip 545 epoxy primer (grey).
